World Religion Day is celebrated every January on the third Sunday of the month.
History
World Religion Day was initially started by followers of the Bahá’í faith in October 1947 in Maine, USA with an aim to host an annual event “World Peace through World Religion”. It was designed to encourage that all religions have common features and therefore should be respected equally.
By 1950, it became known as World Religion Day aiming to promote understanding and peace between all religions as mutual understanding and tolerance between peoples from different backgrounds and is now celebrated in over 80 countries across the globe. It is estimated that there are over 4,200 types of different religions and beliefs in the world, however the six main religions are:

The self-isolation period for those who have tested positive for Covid-19 in England will be cut to 5 days from Monday 17th January 2022 as long as they test negative both on day 5 and day 6 of their isolation period.

“Dry January” is the UK’s one-month alcohol-free challenge. The idea behind this is to not simply give anything up but more about getting something back.
The annual event is led by the charity: Alcohol Change UK.
So why take a month off?
The benefits of going dry for the whole month of January can bring huge benefits to you. Subtle things you will start to notice immediately:
A study conducted by University of Sussex shows that people who took part in Dry January after six months started to vary their alcohol intake and had boosted levels of wellbeing and mindfulness. Individuals started to recognise that you necessarily do not need to have alcohol to have fun, relax or socialise.
