Job Support Scheme (JSS)

With the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) coming to an end on 31 October 2020, Rishi Sunak has been quick to implement any adaptation to its replacement; Job Support Scheme (JSS) which commences on 1 November 2020 in response to the economic challenges created by COVID-19 this winter.

Lockdown 2.0 (England) & Extension of Furlough Scheme (Nationwide)

Boris Johnson has today announced extended lockdown measures for the millions of people and thousands of businesses across England until 2 December 2020.

To combat the economic impact, the furlough scheme has now been extended until the end of November.

The number of businesses closing and people facing redundancy will no doubt further increase as a result of the latest lockdown measures, it is pivotal businesses get the support they require to continue to retain as many jobs as possible.

Whilst there may be alternatives to redundancy, given the current economic situation, this may not be possible to avoid.
